Am I the only one who finds these 'feels like' temperatures a load of cobblers?:D

I was out on the last day in Feb and it 'felt like -4C with a near gale-force wind'...It was, in fact, -5C!:cc_confused:

I've never got it!

The night of the blizzard the other week, about midnight a car was stuck outside my house. I went to help. I have never  been so cold. The wind and snow ripepd through you.  I was only out for 30 mins and was shivering for ages after. I've never felt cold like that for a long time.  It was -9 outside and felt like -20.

I did the same. I went out the garden to try and get a photo of the drifting. Oh my word, never felt a bitterly cold like that. The snow was pelting down and when the wind picked up, ouch! It was so cold it hurt. I was only out there a few moments, but it took me ages to warm up.

These warnings are meaningless as far as my part of the world is concerned. So much rain has fallen, roads are awash, fields are flooded.

Just want dry weather now.

If you want cold and dry then the dry patch is the place to be .

The beast doesn’t scare Swansea and surrounding dry patch area .

Its probably a trifle unfair but just blame Derek for the wet weather.

He has to take responsibility rather than just forecast.

I think he should be out there digging people out of the snow and pumping out cellars etc in between forecasts.

Andy music would do this so why can’t Derek ?

On a short break in our caravan, there's lovely sunshine and very mild in Tenby atm and with the MO snow warning only going as far as Llantwit Major, it would be fantastic if the sun would last through the weekend even if it does turn cooler :D

Was going to go down ours in St Davids but worried about getting home on Sunday, work on Monday

I’m off to Ceredigion, Newquay tomorrow straight over the Beacons , watch the rugby all day then back Sunday fingers crossed there’s no drama on the way home, perhaps better to travel on the M4 and avoid Sennybridge and Brecon on Sunday

Appears to be a bit of an upgrade for us? Amber warning for some of us for Sunday for snow now!

Looking good on the impact scale too! 5-10cm widely which I'll bank now. Staying at my girlfriends in Cardiff too which is higher up lol.

Indeed and it's almost a carbon copy of the area that the Red warning was issued for 2 weeks ago

potentually up to 25cms I would guess for Heads of the Valleys again!!!

We have had a great winter for snow
