Incredible for basically March in Cardiff city centre with the UHI.

well under freezing and below -2c already. Probably even less now.

i wonder if it will be too marginal tomorrow!! ??

I liked that Derek had put the whole of Wales under snow for Friday but then said it may not be anything like this and be lighter and more patchier.  Looking good though.

This could be memorable for the south east. (Small ramp)

Hope this also helps those out west, widely 5-10cm.

Well yes, that precipitation has got to go somewhere, east or west!

That chart shows 20cm+ for me which I'm not really expecting, I know they can't be taken seriously but it would be amazing to see that come off!

15:1 ratio due to the type of snow yes .

Though if your in the dry patch 15:1 of nothing equals nothing .

Although I think I have worked it out now .

The dry patch that is .

The charts have been showing lying snow yes ....

But as it is so windy none of it can settle in the dry patch hence no lying snow .

It will just be blowing around in the air - 30cm of snow whizzing around the dry patch , green grass but nothing settling .

Wow ,how cool would that be .

Would probably need to wear a mask ?, perhaps swimming goggles too and ear muffs just because of elf and safety ...

Either that or the “lying “ snow because it is “ lying “ isn’t going to be where it says so.

Lying cheating snow .

Equally as interesting is where is Andy Music ??

Dont mind missing out to fellow countrymen in the snow depth game so long as it stays mainly in wales .

It was snowing on and off almost all day in Neath where I work but at about 4.30pm an almost blizzard came in and it just kept snowing and it stuck fast.  When I arrived in Swansea (by train) snowing then and it has stuck in the city centre.  My work (Neath Port Talbot council) has already told all staff that we are closed from noon tomorrow and all day Friday.

I've worked there for 11 years and that's the first time they have announced the building will be closed before the snow arrives!!  Can't wait...wonder if I'll even make it to work in the morning??? lol

Ugh!!!?? East of where!

Higher risk for southern England and areas like London. (Doesn’t decrease risk here btw)

low isn’t being modelled correctly according to Chris who is very good.
