I'm hearing cardiff Council are advising schools to close tomorrow. Really hoping our school listens to the advice and we get a full snow day.

Any ideas what time tommorow snow will start? I'm pretty sure lots of Wales will get an awful lot of snow tommorow and overnight into Friday. But I have an important meeting at 10am for only an hour in Swansea but want to make sure I get home. Take me about 45 mins so should arrive home just before 12. Am I correct the snow is later than this?

Cheers.

For those worried about snow in west, here is the Met office forecast for tomorrow and Friday, similar to the BBC but some subtle changes and maybe not quite as good for the areas in depth, plus more about freezing rain Friday

This is what we want! Kilgetty is covered! Pls pls pls pls come off!!!

Clearly some difference to other models for Friday with ICON.

Regarding tomorrow, it’s not showing a no snow scenario don’t worry guys!

Its showing slightly less widespread precip than other models that’s all. It could be underdoing precip or exaggerating welsh mountain effect.

Sadly our snow's all been snatched by Southern Ireland.....

Unless the storm decides to relocate further east by tomorrow, we are going to be dry!   After all the build up and anticipation that will be a great big let-down.   Still good for Cardiff and Newport by the looks of it though...   Good luck to everyone in the east.....

just a wobble - don't worry

edit - it's snowing

Big shift westwards in the bulk of precipitation in most of the current output....Ireland now in the firing line if you look

With the amount of disruption these warnings have already caused, what with preemptive school closures, if the forecast does go horribly wrong then there'll be some explaining to do.

That said, GFS is holding steady with tomorrow's snow but it brings RAIN into West Wales. Eek!
