EVERYONE should be advised to stay at home. EVERYONE.

far too many people will go to work, because they 'have to'

yeah, ok!  I work as a courier, and i'm telling you now, if they think i'm driving through a  blizzard because i have their stuff on my van and it 'has' to be returned to the depot, they got another thing coming. they want it? they can come and get it if they want, from outside my home. lol

Should be the most watched countryfile weather forecasts in many years.

Tonight looks dry, radar showing little or nothing yet.

Bet they won't mention Friday because we don't know how North the l.p. gets snowy.

I work in a Cardiff school.. I'm wondering how many snow days I might get out of this set up! Interesting times :good:

Mine aren't back from half term until tomorrow. Hoping we manage to sneak quite a few snow days out of this set up.

Just watched the 6 o'clock news and my husband is adamant we aren't having anything  as it looked dry up to Thursday on the forecast.

He think it will be rain on Friday, just hope he's proved wrong!

This is rarely seen.

Here we have a yellow early warning with high impact. I truly believe here in S. Wales we could see this upgraded first to orange and then to a very worrying RED alert. A once in a lifetime event.

they're hedging their bets by saying it's 'unlikely'. as you said, watch it rise up the scale as we get nearer

i'm expecting blizzard like conditions Tuesday, and maybe foot high drifts here and there as a result IF i'm in a  sweet spot. should still be able to work, hopefully, but if it gets bad enough i'm heading home. will be interesting. the Bwlch will be closed though, i'm expecting, which does impact me as I do use it.

Who's watching Countryfile then? First time I have since 2013!  At least I can impress my country-dwelling team leader tomorrow in work! Seriously considering booking Friday off but really don't want to jinx it! What do you guys reckon?

I don't know what to hope for to be honest. I will be expected to try to get to work if at all possible, I could walk but it's about 4 miles away, doable in normal conditions but it would be a trek in the snow. As much as I love the snow it's a pain if you've got managers like mine who expect you to walk in if you are close enough.

I wouldn't call 4 miles close in these conditions.. personal safety comes before work.. take care of you!
