Some genuinely incredible cold and dribs and drabs of snow before then.

Wow! Can't even see us! Is the purple over us?

Loads more chances of snow before then Watch Tuesday as convective activity increasing showers will hit east UK first and then pick up more convection as cold air meets warmer air in a brisk easterly wind so plenty of snow across Wales in a unstable air flow..Great week of snow watching ahead.Don't forget dry powdery snow accumulates quicker than wet snow ONCE a lifetime snow events

coming.

Well I might be in the minority, but I for one hope the gfs comes to fruition...it' our best bet for widespread snow with that low moving north into the bitter air.

The ground is going to dry up really fast this weekened from this very cold surface easterly and about time too.

Sharp frosts down to 5c too, before the bitterly cold uppers come in next week.

Not necessarily. The temps will be low enough everywhere. Nothing marginal in the next 10 days or so. If it falls it will be snow. Simple as that.

The snow is coming! Don't worry we'll all see buckets of it I'm sure as soon as systems bump into the freezing cold air it'll be a case of digging yourself out for days.

Well. My first batch of emergency supplies are chilling nicely on the veranda. West facing, so will be nicely sheltered there for the foreseeable. Just the right temperature at the moment. Certainly will not be doing the same next week. They'll be frozen in a few minutes.

Ok... I'll play ... Penfoel where are you I'm in Pembroke and watching the charts closely this past week...

I'd love some snow... But compared to those that are inland and at a higher elevations, as per usual our chances are a LOT less...

So waiting on the weekend charts and watchings the lows as the high pressure is doing a FAB job this week :good:and I've had a glorious dry week in the garden...

Anyone else on the Pembrokeshire coast watching with anticipation??? But don't want to get their hopes up to high??? :)

Intrigued Eira? Are we allowed to ask what supplies?? (Cheeky face)

Mine have gone into the freezer this week! as it's too warm on the coast and I've chainsawed masses of supplies for the log burner...  Just so I can sit by it, keep warm and enjoy everyone else's snow ... waiting for the weekend charts...

Of course Jen. It's beer. All beer. One of my favourites too. 660ml bottles of Menabrea. Italian. Bootiful.

But i will be popping out soon to get some back ups. Boxes of 20 stella bottles for a tenner at Asda. Thinking 3 should see me through the worst. Might pick up a UHT while I'm there.

Loving the chainsaw!. Fair dooz. I usually buy it in these days. Chopping was hard work. Got a delivery Saturday. Lovely! nothing like it

By the way. I'm an Amroth/Wisemans Bridge regular. Second home.

Just seen the bbc for the week ahead and it echoes that purple blob ——

I don’t think it will be marginal this time - this is just not the norm that  we are used too and is so frustrating .

All snow right down to the coast .

So far down onto the coast in fact that the mumbles lifeboat runway will need brushing clear .

Still , in weather terms a long way off - but we are definitely in with a 50/50 chance of 78/81 ....
