MASSIVE - GINORMOUS - BITTERLY SIBERIAN COLD - and flippin snowy as hell - well hell on a cold day lol:cold::cold: - could see this coming a mile off - that 50p bet's looking good now lol

Looking good for me u mean? The blizzard on the 25th that the chart showed isn't going happen so I'm sitting here wondering wot to spend my winnings on ??. As for seeing this coming, even a broken clock is right once every 24 hours so for every time u say the mini ice age is coming, the law of averages says ur gunna b right once ??

Was it from the easterly or a front from the West though?

it was a north easterly - we went deep into the freezer - and shower streamers dumped loads on us in Wales - 2010 is about to revisit - and that was a 1 - 100 year event - but yes it did last 4 weeks - let's see if this one has got some legs too lol:cold::cold:

No offence to you, however, if the weather translates to even close to what is being shown it will be 5 - 7 days at least.

If it looks too good to be true then it usually is. It'll probably be the usual where it gets downgraded a day out and we end up with a 3 day cold spell.

As much as that is normally the case and I do expect a mixture of upgrades and downgrades over the next few days as the time draws near, I find it hard to see us not getting something better than anything we have seen for several years with the broad continued cross model agreements taking place run after run so far. This is one time I am not feeling so nervous about us getting a decent cold spell!

It still looks to be happening, its just a question of position of the deepest cold going north/south and how cold it will get here which the models will firm up on between now and the weekend. Then where any snow will be from around the 48hr mark. Hopefully we can get some troughs/fronts for us in the west/south west to get some decent snow as I'm sure that's what many want (myself included) besides the deeper cold. We are still looking at 850s of -12c to -14c being modelled so it's looking good so far.

Woo hoo. Definitely happening. Gonna get proper cold Sunday onwards. Serious wind chill. Defo snow but we'll have to wait for more accurate forecasts. But things will pop up rather quickly if you know what I mean. Huh hum

Holy moly! Max temps a week tomorrow.

I'm actually starting to think this maybe too cold to enjoy the snow. Add on the wind chill and that's actually dangerous
