The MetO guys are dammed if they do dammed if they don't . There is a chance of snow showers tomorrow morning and one or two could be heavy. So I would suggest that they are perfectly correct to warn of the possibility and remember on the web site warning there will be a probability matrix to try and qualify the threat.

Would I be right in thinking that you have been less than impressed with the results in your location for previous warnings? I hope you have better luck this time. :)

Ye I've been less than impressed but not just the snow warnings even the wind and rain warnings have not even warranted being a warning. I think they just like being in the headlines of the news etc

Major blocking develop, First place to get it, western Europe. Already started around Paris, but plenty of snow on the way for UK and western Europe next  2-3 weeks.

Expect snow to low levels tomorrow morning as temperatures drop. Just had a look at the charts and could even see a covering down to sea level.

I'd go for 1-2cm low levels where heavy showers occur and as much as 5-7cm on higher ground.

Metoffice forecast interesting - Scattered snow showers push in later, with a covering in many places by morning. Minimum temperature -1 °C.

I think it's because they have changed providers from the met office to meteogroup - but I don't like them at all - it's like looking through fog to see the weather - not good at all

I think (according to another forum member) they are using ECM 9km resolution precipitation graphics in contrast to what used to be 1.5km resolution UKV.
