The snow was never really going to fall until this evening or overnight for the majority so it's just patience that's needed. The showers are packing in now so give it a few hours when the temperatures have dropped and I'm sure we'll all see some snow.

Not sure when the snow is going to start but losing a bit of patience myself now.

I really can't see us getting any snow only rain pushing through as the snow north of us on the radar map is turning to rain as it heads south .:fool:

Didn't actualy believe we were going to get any snow did you?

Wind and rain - not quite as exciting - but at least it's a bit fresh :)

Showers are naturally unpredictable.

Wales not suitably positioned upon North Westerly (WNW Component Today).

Showers often decay on progress over Ireland.

Notable trough feature would be very helpful.

Upper Air temps still to fall until around midnight, slight increase after in tandem with T2 Temperatures.

HAVE SOME PATIENCE GUYS!!! THE BEST WILL LIKELY BE 8 - 11 PM

Had some heavy blustery showers today but only rain with a bit of hail thrown in..   Still not sure how we will be affected by this nasty little depression tomorrow night - to begin with it was going to be the far north that had the worst winds but the latest charts have the strongest gusts in the Irish Sea and Bristol Channel - very bad for the west coast of Wales at this rate.  Can only hope it downgrades overnight or perhaps ends up much further south....  Have already tied down the garden furniture but can't do much about the roof...

I think the garden birds know it's getting colder today, just been out to feed them and already there's a 'munchfest' going on in the garden!!!

Had to smile today. Out at St Ishmaels and "walking" down the path were Mr and Mrs Blackbird.  Even as a bird watcher I have never seen two birds SO puffed up in all my life. Like little fluffy balloons blown up against the wind, Lol.

A complete mix with the showers today, rain, hail, sleet and snow

Further Wintry+ showers possible overnight and good luck for settling snow, keeping an eye on the typical A465 webcams.

No kitchen sink in the showers today, but given the wind tomorrow who knows.

Surprised with how little PPN is coming off the Irish Sea to be honest. Very hit or miss tonight, but wow it's gone cold. What I will say is this winter's been so close on a number of occasions, but with no real sustained mild in sight, there will be lots more potential to come I'm sure.

Last decent February (for me anyway...) was 09, so we're due something then!

We had a decent covering on the grass, cars, roofs etc on the 10th December here, pity about the rain overnight beforehand,

Let’s be frank....this is a poor show tonight....lack of intensity and convection a huge killer tonight!

agreed - Ireland is nicking all our snow - not fair lol - so onto Wednesday/Thursday - seems we need to batten down hatches - low has fallen south again lol, so south wales right in the brunt of the winds - any further south and wales will also get a bigger taste of the wintry stuff on offer with that low - and more wintry showers late Thursday into Friday and Saturday, then a lovely slider low come Saturday night into Sunday bringing more potential snow fall. Much more interesting winter than the last few years that's for sure
