Most of ne Wales and mid Wales. We've missed most of the lying snow in nw Wales. Looks like we might get some snow on Sunday

been on and off here - with some very hefty showers - patchy snow left as the sun is still fairly strong and melting some of it - more to come I should imagine later today and tonight - then let's see what happens sunday/Monday - meto/bbc convinced it'll be midlands north - we shall see

There Netweather Short range model gives us this

Netweather GFS Image

a short adjustment of 50 miles south could deliver for all of Wales

I wonder how much snow we can get in nw Wales on Sunday. We never get amber warnings and it never shows heavy snow on BBC and met office apps but it's always taken from valley over in Anglesey about 30 miles from me and valley is right on the coast . We usually get colder and snowier weather than them.

Hope we won’t miss out this time around, knowing our luck we will, due to being by the coast. Let’s hope i’m wrong though?

Just got back from story arms in Brecon and it was pretty good, some areas id say 2-4inches. Car reading -0.5C. Bitter wind blowing and frequent snow showers in the area. Back into Swansea and sleet/hail showers temp, 4C.

Edit: Snowing quite heavy in Swansea now!

meto and bbc are still trying to say that the front on sunday will just push through and ta daaaaaaaa the milder air is victorious - but once again gfs has Wales down for 36 hours of snow north to south with the front and lows falling south again into Monday bringing the cold air entrenched with it - ukmet/bbc aren't saying that - so who's right

Definetly much more convection and finally might find ourselves under astreamer at last!

Been an impressive NWly today for the frequent snow showers and mostly light winds except in the showers and lately.

1.6c max.

Still think there are changes to come regarding Sunday the MOD thread seem to think he track is nailed down but not so convinced next 24 hours all to play for but we may end up with just a load of rain rather than blizzards.

Got a good feeling about tonight, these showers seem to be intensifying! If streamers can form we could easily see over an inch of snow by morning and with temperatures dropping this can only be good for Sunday's potential as ground temperature's will be lower.

Temp 3.3C currently, hopefully they drop further so we can see a flurry or two from any showers that do pass over tonight!
