much more activity on the radar now - showers popping up and most are now in the snow zone - have patience

Look at them showers intensifying over Sw, if they keep heading East we could get pummeled with snow.

Far too mild for snow still here, although this could be because of the wind coming from the milder irish sea. Does anyone have charts for the upper air temps at the moment (they were forecast to be -7/-8) Winds are still westerly , hopefully they turn more to the northwest...as for snow north wales and midlands look like firing line for 10-20cm overnight

much more denser block of showers/front setting up over northern Ireland/irish sea - could very well see that come south towards wales later tonight

if you remember on gfs charts there was a low coming south bringing the colder temps in - winds still coming round that on a westerly but as it drops south will become more north westerly to northerly eventually

xcweather shows winds staying northwesterly until late saturday night where it becomes milder into the south and west

Dewpoint of around -1.5c here but temps still around 3-4 degrees or at least it is in Hawarden which latest observation said 4.8c but would take a degree off that for here as Hawarden is just outside Chester

lightly sleeting here

temps and dewpoints need to drop just a tad, slightly heavier showers would help too

Looking at the isobar direction changes on the EURO4, we should see the flow change from NW to NNW about now. We in the South East should be looking at the Northern Ireland / Eire border region for our upstream showers. Here's hoping that the warmish Irish Sea give them a shot of Red Bull !!

Unless I'm mistaken, the mass of showers about to start exciting Northern Ireland and those following behind, in the Atlantic off the west coast of Scotland, have begun to move in a more northwesterly rather than west-northwesterly direction, which can only be good for us in Wales.

Alas, Sunday is not looking great on the 18Z, at least at first, with everything a bit further north. However, as the system pivots and comes back south it returns to snow. Still time for adjustments though, even on that detail.

bit like a tug of war - north south - who knows - seems if it does go north we may still catch the tail end of it overnight sunday into Monday though - but we'll see - the showers over Ireland do look beefy and are giving the irish folk a good covering from reports, so lets hope they are coming south to Wales - all to play for still

According to the netweather radar I should of had a few heavy snow showers but I’ve had nothing more than hail and a flake or two of snow.
