Let's pray for another 2010, if a streamer sets up who knows what could happen. I'm just worried about all the comments about sleet.

What a year that was! Real dry powdery snow. Hopefully it won't turn too wet or sleety later, the air seems very crisp and perfect conditions right now.

Had a light dusting of snow (though I missed it as I was in the pub) but its nice to see the car and house roofs white again! Temp still 3.3C though and not dropping any lower.

Anyone on here in or between Builth Wells and Hay on Wye? There's elevation there, its inland and in the path of the best streamer so far. Would imagine that it's going to be pretty good viewing up that way?

Light snow again. Sure they'll keep merging- and the temps and DP's should lower a bit more too come midnight.

As I mentioned earlier, showers are now aligning themselves into more organised bands.

Expect the unexpected especially if you get caught under one of these trains.

Moderate settling snow here in Cwmbach and it's been snowing for the last 30 minutes now.

Showers just dying out a bit too much before reaching Cardiff yet. Every one that's had promised has died over around pontypridd. We live in hope. A lot of activity  around to be fair, Swansea getting a lot on radar

Hi all,

Been lurking for ages and thought it was a good time to join :)

I live a few miles north of Pontypridd. It's been snowing a fair bit now. Small covering on roads, cars and roofs well everywhere. Temp is currently 0.0c after a low of -0.3c before the snow came in. Hopefully temperatures don't rise too much. Might be a good night if it doesn't! Enjoy all

I'm off to go and boast about my 0.0001 inch of snow in the SE thread. Best winter ever.

Heavy to moderate snow showers here in the past 30 minutes. And proper snow not the sleety mix we often get.

Trying to settle and then it stops, hopefully overnight the showers will last long enough to form a base.

is the radar faulty? huge amounts of sleet showing now where once was snow? Been snowing steady here about 1cm on some surfaces but radar now showing sleet :/ should we be worried :/

It's all about quality... not quantity...

Tbh, from what I've seen from social media, the southeasterners aren't handling their slushy delivery very well.
