So loads to look forward to the next few days and then even bigger fish to fry next week - don't be down hearted this is the winter just starting to crank up just at the right time of the year - the next two to three months could be a blast now - keep the faith and watch it unfold

A few flurries here as the front starts to slowly clear

Anybody know if any radar site gets past Dublin to Wales blind spot?

Interest now starting to come from convection off the Irish Sea.

Dont be surprised if we see these showers merge later this evening and overnight into longer spells of snow esp above 100m

I don't think that anywhere is safe IMO

I didn't see a flake in Cardiff, but in all honesty I didn't expect to that early on. It was way too warm and dew points were way too high. Would be nice if we could catch shower this evening, the rain has dried up nicely and the temperature has dropped now too. Fingers crossed!

the journey and the chase is often the most enjoyable part of this - once you've since a few flakes - then you've achieved your goal and it's onto the next thing - typical human attitude - WE BORE EASILY lol

Euro 4 and NetWx-SR 12z data pretty similar with the shower distribution tonight and into the early hours:

Worth keeping an eye on the radar later to see if snow showers start to band together into streamers, this can result in a longer period of snow of course.

it's always been there - the gov decided not to put money into satelite cover for that area - mean buggers so the radar is made up of Irelands and the uks radar with the smudgey bit in between lol

Some showers north of the Cardiff area now. May miss me to the east slightly but obs have these as full snow showers now so hopefully anything that falls from now on tonight will be snow even to low levels. Ground dried up a bit after earliers rainfest too.
