and I'm back on the forum - tech problem wouldn't allow me to post there for a bit - never mind - still rain here so the cold just hasn't quite bitten here yet but beacons reports on twitter etc seem to now suggest the front is progressively turning to sleet snd snow

Chucking it down here.

Anyone else use the NW rainfall radar? Big flip on the Animation at around 11:25 Snow disappears from the Beacons and the sleet elsewhere

I think they've got this forecast completely wrong, the forecast was for NW winds 18mph gusting to 32mph for today. But if u look at the whole country even in Ireland there's a lot of westerly and south westerly winds and most r light winds

I may be losing the plot here, but as I'm too tight to pay a subscription for a PPN type radar, I'm relying on myopic eye sight! It's raining moderately here in Bassaleg atm, but from what I can see, there looks to be some very sleety clumps mixed in. Am I seeing things? Anyone getting anything slightly wintry mixed in/ anything showing on the radars?

Had to sign up to the Rain Today radar... Showing sleet over my area which seems to confirm my suspicion. Much earlier than expected!?

Sat watching Lamport and I'm sure I can see the odd sleety blob :nea:

Could we be any more Welsh/ British getting excited about sleety blobs in the rain?

that is strange isn't it!!

However I tend to ignore those computerised "table type" forecasts and look at the synoptic charts instead such as this GFS one :)
