Ive been living in Norn Iron too long. I typed cross border instead of cross model support!

I'm just glad you didn't mention a soft brexit from a SCEURO high! :-)

Just a quick question. I take it the fantastic charts they are banging on about in the model thread won't bring cold as far west as me?

With  these type of set ups the east of Northern Ireland will always be better but u def have a chance if the charts come off! Long way to go though and nothing a cert at this stage that's for sure.

Model thread stay well away.:aggressive:

Exactly. When will they ever learn. They still get off on charts 7-10 days away then throw the toys out of the pram next day when they are not as good. Never take anything past day 4 as gospel. Especially this year. It never materialises really

I will be surprised if we get anything more then a half hearted cold spell. If we havent had much luck this winter and nothing much of note regards cold and snow i cant see things suddenly changing in our favour leading to a happy ending. When we are in a rubbish winter thats usually the way it remains imo. We are back yet again hoping for feb to save us but if dec and jan have been poor for cold thats not usually a good sign.

I don't believe we will either, just from past experiences and being burned before, but the MJO supports this happening and we have had a strat warming too. In my humble opinion, this has a much greater chance of delivering than the last failed attempt, which I didn't believe would happen from the outset!

Anyone read the met.ie weather for friday evening through to saturday mention snow high ground possible low ground this has caught me by surprise.

Winds will ease further on Friday morning. Mainly dry at first with sunny spells and just coastal showers in the west. However, later in the day rain will develop in the southeast and east. The rain will spread westwards on Friday evening and will turn heavy in the east with snow likely on high ground and possibly also on lower levels. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees, but turning colder in the rain during the afternoon. Winds mainly light and variable, but it will become breezy in the southeast later.

On Saturday morning, the rain and any sleet or snow will clear northwards.

Checked the euro4 and there must be some possibilty in it dew points 0 or below in parts temps 0-1 in places interesting.

Very quiet in here considering how well the models r lining up. I suppose we're more worried it'll all go pearshaped again.

Or even worse.....

Britain goes into the freezer and we're too far west:wallbash:

That's exactly my worry. After the last complete fail that most of us had on here i think we all do right to hold back on any excitement.
