I couldn’t decide on watching Utd game once or watching paint dry.....it’s quite surprising how you can see the paint dry in certain spots first, almost being absorbed into the wall, quite fascinating

Lol lol

Just had first proper wet snow shower pass through, only downside is the ground is absolutely drenched outside. Hopefully we can get a bit of a freeze between showers later.

The exciting thing for me is how intense the showers are, there's very little decay as they are moving west to east. This is a good sign for widespread coverage.

I would rather have a bit of a lull in showers so the ground can dry up a bit. It's pretty windy out so shouldn't take much to dry out!

This exactly. Dry up, cool up then let the fun begin. No need to start panicking yet

Folks wet ground doesn't matter if it's cold enough. The snow is wet and that's why it won't stick. Though of course frozen ground certainly helps..

Looking good for all of us

I expect Cork to do well tomorrow evening

A little lull coming up to help dry out the ground before a good wave, quite windy out too. Cracker stuff

For what it's worth, I don't expect any sticking snow until tomorrow after dark, the lower air temps then will help, maybe some sleet up to then. Expectations now at 90% for lying snow. Highest I've had since 2010.... By the way, I was 110% back then! :-)
