temps currently 3.5c here so a bit to go yet but as always it will be after dark when the fun should start. noticed a bit of sleety in the last shower. first pinks showing up on radar now too.

Always enjoy @carinthian's updates on model thread. Hope you don't mind me referencing you!

I like the sound of a weaker feature with a more southerly track!

 Their shorter range model still has some concern about the low to enter the UK mid week, however the model is showing a disturbance in the flow rather than a full on low at this stage of proceedings. So a bit more southerly track envisaged but open to lot of uncertainty.

Not sure why I keep checking the met o forecast but was showing sleet for tomorrow, then heavy snow ... now it's back to sleet again??

The Met  text update for Wednesday night now says "possible " heavy rain, so still no certainty yet.

The low on Wednesday is much further South is an open wave rather than a fully enclosed low, this is good news for Ulster counties!!!!

Cant ever remember getting frontal snow up here, always a quick snow to rain event. have there been any examples?

Another 30 miles further South should keep the warm sector far enough away.

Another southern turn and the low is now decidedly less intense! Great stuff, tiny wee corrections through these runs and we will stay in the cold air!
