Going to head out into the field for a walk now the rain has stopped. Wind is crazy already. Phone needs fully charged incase electric goes out which I would be surprised if it didn’t.

Ophelia had nothing on this

Bins night as well!. Just put them in the garage

And worst not expected until early morning.

Council here in Derry made an absolute cock up with the labels so its kind of funny seeing people with blue bins out, black and blue and some with none at all.

Also a question, where on earth is the BBC week ahead forecast? I can't believe they haven't done it today I've been waiting on and off since 6 o'clock.

Not surprised. It’s the worst we have had here in a long time. Not sure when it’s due to peak. Midnight? But it’s brutal. I wasn’t expecting it to be this bad to be fair. We have had red warnings for less over the years

if u go to power check nie on website u can see how much power is out over Northern Ireland

Erm that’s in km/h not mph if you never knew! Not as bad for much of southern/western Ireland Ophelia was very powerful. Albeit not many were subjected to the ferocity of post hurricane Ophelia.

Be windy for a while yet. Hopefully people have taken head of warnings and are taking safety measures, few branches have blown off nearby tree and hit windows already.
