Ireland Regional Weather Discussion

Easterly flow on the model output? My only fear is that it won't be cold enough, as it really isn't cold enough in the Baltics at the moment. Friends have never seen such a warm winter, and the Lake Peipus hasn't even begun to freeze. Time will tell!

Rain again tonight. At least tonight's weather is interesting!

That amber warning was issued early this afternoon. Hopefully not to much damage but it’s certainly going to get windy.

Working in Belfast tonight and just got back to Derry. No real wind until i got past Dungiven. Seriously dodgy driving in that weather. Trees down and a lot of debris on the roads!! Glad to be home.

Happy new year folks. I'm starting 2018 with a cold which is going into my chest now. Back to work tomorrow, that'll be fun!

Happy New Year all!!

Proper cold by the weekend hopefully on the way.

Good Synoptics for you MS, a NE flow should be interesting.

More so for South Eastern counties, tends to be a drier affair in the North East, depends whether we get any disturbances in the flow and the angle of attack from the Atlantic.

Happy new year to all.

Looking forward to later in the week, if current output is right ne flow always best direction for me regarding snow.

And perhaps Rochey's snow shield will finally be broken.

Output looks good(GrEeaT) but not sure about how much precip can go past the NE and E. Scotland and NE England in firing line it seems but perhaps with the Atlantic pushing in we could get some significant snow Island wide depending on place of fronts etc? Looking forward with anticipation.
