See that big band of precip to the north of Scotland. Am not convinced but it does seem further West than forecasted but i don't think we will see anything from it folks. Our best bet not is something beefing up just to our north but i am finding it very hard to believe that we will see anything more substantial tonight. It has been a day of let downs for some but some have done really well which is great to see.

Yeh. No way thats hitting here. The Scottish forum reckon its cental belt bound.

A wee shower overnight to leave a covering is the best I can hope for I think.

Your right Mountain. Not expecting much from here on in but you never know.

That band of precip was also forecast. Very rare indeed that you'd get that much precip un-forecasted, so go to bed, sleep well, and don't stay up to lamp post watch... You'll just jinx it for yourself!

Woke up because sound of the wind looked outside whiteout conditions.:)

Good stuff! I have been looking at the radar and seeing that mass clump heading through Ireland thinking someone is getting a lot of snow from that!

Hi all!!

Can't believe I'm finally in the forum! I couldn't sign in or link my account up there for months. I've been reading since about early November but wasn't able to comment - maybe that's not a bad thing lol!

Anyway .. I'm up in Mallusk here - light dusting from yesterday evening ... been up all night and there was, notably, Zilch!! Some wind, the odd 1min hail shower, but nothing to even discuss. Disappointed!  I just wanna build my first proper snowman in my new house (ok been here a year but only a small bit of snow last year) - will it ever come!? :(

Hey Snowydog.

i think we caught the edge of that. Had big fluffy flakes for a minute or so. Looked fairly heavy stuff heading your way.

My youngest is sick with this weird weird flu thing going about and is desperate to get out. We've compromised on an episode of peppa pig with snow in it.

One word, two silly balls...

Garbage.

Yeah it's been disappointing here but not unexpected after that forecast on Wednesday afternoon from the UKMO where the snow risk was downplayed. Since that, I wasn't expecting too much so it's not a huge let down personally!

Onwards and upwards to the next cold blast :D

Really need a Greenie high to draw in the deep cold arctic air thats not modified, these moderated events where some get and some don,t are cruel that warm sector killed quite a few in here last night, all my showers were snow or hail but at one time it was close call.

Lets pray for greenie high so we can all join in the fun with no marginal crap.

Photos below is 1am sorry quality of images are poor going to take a few later on today of lough fea area.
