There seems to be a front which looks dodgy coming down at 6pm Thursday showing up on the BBC video forecast as rain

None of the forecasts are going in to much detail at all with regards to snowfall which suggests to me that it will be a now cast situation over the next few days!

Easterly winds would be your best shot (EDIT: I think) aren't we suppose to have that setup later on?

20 metres above sea level according to "Google Maps find altitude" Im right next to the river, I have a good view of what's going on out to the east

THEY ARE! But sadly they are still in FI on the model outputs... And I'm not confident they will transpire.

I'm sorry about banging on about the Derry snow shield! All I do is complain about not getting a lot of snow while Dublin gets less  Some perspective for me, I guess. I hope you get some of the white stuff this Winter anyway!
