For the 100th time, ignore the online app forecasts, they change constantly.

The high resolution models from tonight will give better guidance.

If it is right about the easterly ireland always remains just outside the proper cold though according to the run, would be bloody typical . Early days yet of course though.

Also, if the ECM is right, the Atlantic does not really get back in before an Easterly next week.

Will it get as far as us though? ECM has certainly been consistent in brining it in, hopefully you guy's in the East will get some benefit from it.

Indeed Sundog, we're too far east for the westerlies, and too far west for the easterlies!!!! No mans land!!!

Cheers, to be honest, a Small covering on Thursday when the kids get home from school would be good enough for me. I don't ask for much!!!

High resolution model from France not predicting much for most of us when we're supposed to be at our coldest.

Doesn't appear to be as much potency in the high resolution models I'm viewing over the next few days. I had initially thought 15cm for my area but think it'll be more like 5-10cm at best. Always hard to tell how far inland the showers will punch.

On the other hand, Met IE mention the possibility of cold Siberian air moving in from the east next week. Could be good for you guys who miss out from the PM airmass.

Been lurking around watching the models and this thread. I really am worried this is going to turn out a bit of a damp squib with last minute downgrades just a feeling hopefully I'm wrong. I have everything crossed for a decent dumping.

Its a very volatile still by the looks of the charts, even the updates from MetO aren't inspiring.

I'm still confident some could do well out of it, especially Thursday, as below shows

For me 2cm of snow is better than none......10cm is a bonus.

Never worry, Euro 4 6z just out, 48 hours time looks pretty good for most of us up North!
