What I find interesting is they have missed out SE Cheshire on their warnings again.  Obviously they have a lot more knowledge than me but if they have said themselves that showers will be coming down the Cheshire Gap - with even an organised front possibly moving down - I am surprised it isn't in the 'area', where as other, seemingly lower risk areas' have? Would love clarification.

Valley now has a sub 0 dewpoint which is very interesting. That area has a similar climate to my location.

Which is why I'm surprised we aren't in the Warning Area for snow.  I haven't got my hopes up too much but if some other areas are in it then why isn't the risk there?  Unless they really don't feel they will take  off?

Sleety drizzle here 1c dew 0c..... hills were white with 1-2cm at 400-500m earlier.... still white but fading away....melting....

dusting at flash/kinder looking at cams...

cant believe heathrows cancelled flights already....

Aye well...them cockernees can't hack a bit of snow. We're made of sterner stuff up here.:D

It was always gonna be rain before 17:00hrs. It's after dark that the fun begins. 

That said, Met Office have removed PPN signal for S of the region in their automated weather symbols

The PPN coming down from Scotland in the early hours looks like rain any were from Manchester across to cheshire
