Plenty of hail showers passing through. Roads and pavements still white for last hour or more

Some massive hail for a time just now. No more lightning yet, but it's only a matter of time, as these cells are real beasts.

Got a pretty dusting here now and still snowing.

18th of November and the 2nd snow event for some parts of the region. Hopefully this is a sign of things to come this winter

Had hail thunder and sleet mix at Manchester airport.. just got to Ellesmere Port where I work and it's bone dry and sunny.  Looks horrendous back down Manchester way.

AA Roadwatch this morning showing lots of trunk-roads in and around Manchester chock-a-block with standing traffic aswell as a handful of localized car-bumps with commuters being caught out by the conditions, i'll be busy this weekend marshaling a Peak South to North race with the finish-line in Marsden so keeping a eye on the higher-level routes as these roads are expected to be the checkpoint areas.

Very slushy in Oldham town centre, mostly rain/sleet in the mix now.  Still expect something more wintry up in the hills.  Traffic is very slow moving in parts.

Moderately heavy snow over here between Hyde and Glossop. Starting to stick. Radar suggests may continue for a while. :-)

It's started snowing big wet flakes in Manc CC now, doubt it will stick though as it's very wet out and not that cold, looks good though!

Edit - It's getting a lot heavier now, looks nice from my office window!

Ground is covered again after a recent heavy snow shower. Not bad for just past mid November! can't see it lasting though as the day goes on.

Had several heavy hail showers in Newton-le-willows. Caused chaos on the roads, only now clearing.

Showers abating here for a while as winds veer more westerly, more lining up in the Irish Sea however with the NW in-sight.
