Sat evening into early hours of sunday might be a dusting of snow acc to gfs12z, wont be much but better than nothing!

Not for Cheshire or Merseyside sleet/rain according to 12z LOL:rofl:

Really hope the SSW works in our favour, had some good frosty weather this season, but

The pot of gold (snow) has sadly been lacking.

What a day to remember, some bloke gets a new job in Washington and the sun finally comes out in East Lancashire.

certainly will be one of those where were you when it happened moments.

Not be long before The Oxberry Equator show is on telling us how thankful we should be to have such mild conditions when others in Europe are having freezing snowy weather.

personally I'd just call it winter but Di and Eno seem to think that winter is mild mild and more mild.

anyway maybe a frost tonight and rumours of a few flakes late Saturday, where's that snow shovel:yahoo:

I get Lucy Martin on bbc website, take it she is okay

I think you should move up here then you can watch Di most nights with a bit of Eno to cover when she's off

It's a bit like a day of rain turning to showers, technically different but the outcome is the same.

Hooray the 120 hour cloud fest has broken! Clouds broke around 1pm leaving a clear bright early evening. Frosty outside and starry night - very welcome. A much brighter weekend ahead, and cold with frost and perhaps some sleety wet snowflakes in the air.

Exactly (apart from the Toffeemen Bit):D

Do have a feeling Feb will deliver something, probably more something out of the Blue rather than the SSW having any if much effect.

Level one snow alert just issued for Manchester Airport

Light Snow is expected to effect the Airfield between 06-00-10.00 Sunday 22nd January

A slight covering is possible between these times.

C.S

Edit

Liverpool airport TAF also indicating snow showers.

Looking at the BBC graphics looks like a small line of snow showers spreading from the SW.

Make the most of it if it verifies may be the last flakes we see for a while.

No frost this morning but still the southeast is still locked in a 2 week freeze. Actually to them it must feel like 2010 a bit.

Feels like every year here.
