Heavy rain mixed with lighter periods since 4pm.  Much more rain than predicted by the Metoffice, over 10mm here. We are on the back edge now. To be honest, this rain is welcome, the top soil was dry.

No sign of 20C on the horizon again yet. Hope this summer isn't a case of 'chase the two warm days'

I'm fed up of the constant underestimation of temperatures every day here. Currently lovely and sunny and 13.5°C.

Yet another cold, mostly grey Easter.  Looks like my birthday could again be marred by wintry weather just like last year.  Whatever happened to my childhood/teen Easters when the dress code was T-shirt/shorts?  And no, it's not the wearing of rose-coloured spectacles, my memories of the time are remarkably clear.

We seem to be entering the now usual spring/summer rut:of a couple of passable days like last weekend followed by weeks of cold NW/N/NE winds with endless grey days followed by cold, frosty nights.

Been away over the Easter weekend and it certainly went as forecast.

Friday afternoon not bad, Saturday decent but cold, Sunday one for the bin and Monday an improving picture and certainly pretty nice at the moment.

all in all not to bad, just a shame about Sunday

Reading the latest text forecast it seems a bit of an epic fail for tonight. It was supposed to be frosty and clear but now looks like being cloudy and mild. Oh dear.

Passable today, even managed to catch some rays around lunchtime as long I was sheltered from that cold breeze.  Monday night managed 1.7C overnight and given my sheltered garden sensor I suspect out on the fields there could well have been a ground frost.

Another chilly day here. When is it gonna be really warming up?? Being like this for days maybe weeks now.

Shame we're into April and most of us are in spring/summer mode now, because the hype would be blazing a hot garden path trail for us to follow, with what the charts are showing for early next week.  If only it was January.  The ultimate zero hour backtrack this time will probably be more a blessing.  I'll expect it will be a keen wind at best, and icy cold rain with slushy deposits reserved for the highest hills.  Fingers crossed for an improvement towards the BH weekend.

I would ignore the local rag, only places to see lying snow, being realistic is over 300m

No official warnings released yet,  but as I said in the mod thread, I will eat my MacBook if we see any snow. I think Thor Might pay us a visit though, I always enjoy that of course.

Can't speak for others but the most I want out of this upcoming spell of weather is a few dry, cold days.

i don't want cold rain and if I can't have snow in winter I certainly don't want it now.

Probably seems appropriate to lock this now as the thread has gotten rather long. Will let loose a new thread for you fellas in the North-West to continue your chats of the possible upcoming wintry conditions and other weather :)

New thread:
