I almost stepped out the door at 9pm and i'm glad I chose not to as 20mins later the rain bucketed down, similar to yesterday with intermittent sunshine/cloud followed by a few heavy showers towards midnight. Early morning tomorrow waiting for the April Showers season to begin with a bang.

Absolutely lashed it down here around 10ish. Wondered where it had come from as the road became a river!

Cloudy start here but the sun has started to break through in the last half hour which will no doubt kick off the heavy showers that have so far missed us.

its obviously not an opinion shared by all but I enjoyed last weekend's conditions far to much  and personally I'd prefer them to stay away.....hopefully until about October.

After the diurnal minimum is passed I'm expecting a dry and sunny day as the flow is straight off the sea which inhibits convection at this time of year. April showers don't usually exist around here unless in a Continental flow.

Still dry here, time to clean out the car before the wet stuff out west and to my south remembers where I live.

looking at the radar it won't be long.

Or a lovely crisp northerly ,very photogenic convection.

Sunshine and showers? Nah...just cloud and persistent rain here.

Had a ten minute shower a while ago, otherwise we've been lucky so far and it's bright again now.

no doubt the heavens will open walking from the car to the football though.

Managed 15'c today here before the cloud rolled in late-afternoon, there's rain forecast for overnight but into the next few days it's looking dry again with some good spells of spring-sunshine and warmth.

A warm day with sunny spells. Max was 16.5°C, much warmer than forecast, probably due to the foehn effect. Some great lenticular cloud formations down wind of Snowdonia around an hour ago.

It's been nice seeing the cloud melt-away during the course of the afternoon, yesterday and this morning was dismally-dull and cold out in the wind. Looking forward now to a weekend of fine sunshine and temps along-with the Grand National and Football action.

The wind should finally veer off-shore tonight and tomorrow looks primed for a beautiful warm day with a south-easterly veering southerly wind.

A frosty start but a lovely warm Spring day is on the cards.

it looks like a decent walk followed by a day working in the garden for me

20.6'c in Buxton and likely making it to 21'c within the next hour, a great day here in the Peaks to have a short walk-around town, soon clears up the morning hangover and gets the tourists into the local shops. A shame that by Monday it's back to the usual cold, cloud, and rain.

What a lovely day to be out and about

a few miles brisk walk this morning, first cut of the grass this afternoon and a couple of hours sat in warm sunshine to finish off.

reached 21c here, the highest I've recorded so far this year

just a shame a drive into Manchester beckons later otherwise a couple of beers would have finished it off nicely.
