You might get some , rain looks heavy so evaporative cooling could play a hand for snow to lower levels

with luck

Off out over the tops for a couple of beers and something to eat so hopefully it will stay dry until I'm back home.

not that I'll be driving but I don't fancy pushing either.

Still clear skies here. That would help the temp tumble down. If lucky we may get  frost and eventually some snow!!

Currently in Cumbria, BBC didn't have precip that far north but radar looks like it might be further North than they said. Not sure it'll be snow below 300m though!!

Back down in London now , After  my work trip to Manchester . Thanks to all that made me feel welcome here :). I got really lucky yesterday, I mean fancy travelling to the only place in the whole country to experience a spontaneous blizzard from nowhere . I could hardly hide my excitement on a full coach of work colleagues that thought I was absolutely crazy . The only shame is I couldn't get out in it as it stopped before I got off the coach .Here is a couple of more pics .

On the edge of the band here. Rain looks like abit of sleet is mixed in.

2cm of snow forecast for the Peaks tonight, what sounded like a Chinook just went over this way about 5mins ago. If anyone north around Glossop/Stalybridge/Rochdale hears it aswell.

Well I don't bring any luck to the southeast . Infact I saw more snow yesterday in 30 mins than I've seen since 2013 , defantly got lucky yesterday though. I'm so mad about snow that if it could be guaranteed which obviously it can't I would be up living with you like a shot . The funniest thing for me yesterday was watching a lady pushing a pushchair absolutely covered in snow from head to foot and I thought . You are so lucky .

The rain has arrived here, it is heavy but there is also melted sleetiness on the window, so it bodes well for those higher up.

3.8 degrees and steady rain here in the marginal. Some sleetiness in the heavier bursts and temperature appears to be dropping steadily. Forecast still looks hopeful in this part of the world  over night but i'm expecting snow east of a line from Congleton-Macclesfield-Stockport. As an aside yesterday's fall, short lived as it was, was a real surprise with settling snow down to about 100m.

Just into North Wales at Dyserth (LL18) - heavy rain became sleet and turned to heavy wet snow in the course of around 10 minutes... Been snowing no for 20 mins - starting to cover the grass and make a slushy mess of the road! c. 180m asl, so the hills should be getting a pasting. Looks like it's on its way to the North West, my old stomping ground.
