It would as the air is more humid;that's how I could tell it was too marginal before.

Sleet and large wet snow flakes falling.

Same here. I guess this will be the last wintryness for today.

Radar picking up over Manchester/Cheshire as rain? however at my heights and with evaporative cooling i'm willing to bet the Peaks are set for another flurry of snowfall within the next half-hour. Missed this morning's snowfall that closed the airport due to being up half the night watching motorbike tutorial lessons on the web, taking the CBT course in-time for some potential summer storm chasing.

Second band came to romiley Stockport just as rain but now it's slowly turning sleety again with the odd bit of snow in.

Transparent watery snow here  , ok it rain ,that's about it lol

Yeah same here lol!, I'm going to pretend that rain is the new snow! its been great today, on and off since early morning and putting down a really good covering on all surfaces, going to put my wellies on when I get home and go for a walk in it before it dries up. getting to that time of year where it doesn't last too long...heat of the sun and all that

And today illuatrates perfectly why im not interested by late Feb, all gone before dinner.

Seems to me Feb is fast becoming a no show for meaningful snow.

Seriously considering upping sticks in the next 5 years, only so much of this horrific climate i can endure..

I understand your disappointment and I feel the same. However, today it was a nice surprise (well, okay this morning mainly) and the updated euro 4 is giving our region a very nice dollop of heavy snow for tomorrow evening/night. You look to be in the sweet spot for tomorrow night.

Another day of let downs here, started ok with some snow on the ground but a mixture of rain with sleet at best since then.

glad for those who got some snow today though.
