It's been moderately snowing in Sale for the last 15 minutes and starting to cover cars and grass. For 5 minutes its was big flakes, now more smaller flakes and a little sleety.

Absolute white out in Manc city centre,  heaviest snow I have seen for a couple of years!

Edit - Gone very dark too!

Unbelievable how quickly it settled on the ground!

Skies very dark here thinking rain now rather than snow

Wintry shower of graupel and snow passing through.

A real strange winter season. wintry precipitation falling what looks like not particular special 850hpas: mid November, late January, early February and now late February. Yet the easterly with lower 850hpas, it rained. shows the complexity involved in snowfalls but this season it has been really odd.

You sure height is going to be needed, it wasn't with what came down an hour ago!

Lol, has Manchester Airport had more snow than Chicago's O'Hare this year?! No snow in Chicago

http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2017/02/27/for-the-first-time-no-snow-on-ground-in-january-february/

Surely that can't be right?
