Keep a look out on Sunday for the possibility of snow flurries over parts of the region

Been shown for the last few days on various models not much to get excited about but

A slight dusting is possible in places.

It's been Snowing on some of the beaches in Spain today . Harsh frosts and sunny days down south. And we have constant drizzle and grey skies..:wallbash:

Notice how where the cold is across the SE is where the heat is in Summer, they seem to have a slight continental influence to their climate.

Not here it hasn't.

fourth day of our unscheduled solar eclipse and still no sign of it passing through and sodding of to annoy some other poor souls.

what we need is a threat of snow and then watch the damn clouds clear and the sun come out.

We might be sharing a bit of the continental cold into next week if it spreads westwards..

...probably won't happen but in the meantime...

...zzzzzz.... at least it 'won't be as mild' into the weekend.

Same for my location, definite signs of continental air, as temps do get colder from Sat, but not sure if clear breaks can make it this far north and west, could we be looking at the longest ever sunless period?

Probably. It's been so dull recently and will be again tomorrow... would be nice to see half an hour of sun!

Yes it is during what is generally the most depressing week of the year, adding to the dismal feel, oh dear we could be looking at a run of at least 8 days with no sun, not unprecedented, but very unwelcome. To go 10 days + with no sun would be noteworthy, lets see how things pan out.

We had nearly two months of sunlessness last summer during June and July.

I think on balance I prefer this eternally grey and average temperature but at least mostly dry and completely calm weather to last year's constant wind and rain with super mild temperatures.

Still, it's pretty depressing not to have seen the sun for so long. Looks like things might brighten up from tomorrow evening so fingers crossed.

Can't complain too much about this winter so far, could have been much

Raw few days ahead, temps dropping down to just below average, might see a bit of brightness perhaps, but we are just about in the worse spot here in the country for any it seems. Strange to see a cold front moving in from the south under a high pressure bringing chance of some sleety wet snowflakes, but that's what could happen come Sunday.

yes, clear skies moved north, foggy here as well, cold front from south later, maybe wintry flurries for high levels
