Very windy outside. Took the dogs out just as the sun came up. There is drip drip about now sadly....

Sadly here on the north west coast we need the elusive Greenland High or a Beast From The East with fronts pushing up from the South West.

A few models are hinting towards a potential Cheshire-streamer, from the Mersey all the way down into Cambridgeshire.

Good to see - but its clutching at straws tbh - blue skies and blustery now - a decent day hopefully the snow will hold for Rossendale for the ELR session tomorrow and Langdale or Coniston on Sunday for a low to mid level plod.

Get out there while it lasts.

Non-event here, haven't checked the radar image yet, but suspect we were just too far west to catch any precipitation. Instead its currently 2 degrees. Must be a warm sector of sorts moving through. Still the fells are white, but really we should have done so much better given the synoptics. Our best events are always frontal.

The radar showed moderate ppn right over Cumbria, if you didn't get anything then I never had a chance.

You've gone and done it now Chris all us long suffering snow fans will be glued to our phones, laptops, pc's and curtains again tonight even though we know we'll probably be left empty handed again. We'll never learn.

Not much here unfortunately, an on and off wintry mix overnight, very fine snow, hail, sleet, grapuel mainly. A light dusting, no real proper snow. Doesn't look like I have to travel too far south from here to find it though.

Same here.  Some hail piled up in corners of the garden and adjacent roofs.
