Diddly squat here. Looks like a steamer is forming through the Xheshire gap, but energy in the Irish Sea elsewhere seems to have diminished.

Had a shortlived snow shower late this afternoon which has deposited a very light dusting on car roofs and house roofs only. Currently clear skies and temps of 0.2 degrees, so turning very icy right now.

May see one or two showers over next few hours, and chance of a light cover thanks to the front due to move through overnight. Would be nice to wake up to a couple of cms at least.

The feature delivering snow over southern parts really hasn't helped the region today, killing off the deep convection and producing a very light flow from off the Irish Sea.

Oh look we've got some flurries starting in 50 minutes time here! It's currently clear after a heavy grauple shower at 6pm. Over Liverpool at the moment.

On my way home from work I was trying to remember the last time a day which had promised so much ended up delivering so little.

Then within a couple of minutes of home the heavens opened and I ended up having to clear the drive.

will I be happy doing the same again at 6.30 in the morning, only time will tell but looking at the forecast I may well get a chance to find out.
