As for the feature coming down from Scotland, I'll suspect the North East will get the brunt of that, be surprised if there is anymore westwards but we shall see what happens.

There's usually something ruining it, but if all change of convective activity was lost then the Met Office would of removed the warning completely, instead, they've extended it eastwards by a large amount, meaning they must be expecting something- as am I

Winter Hill behind Rivington covered with snow now. Just seen it from the distance from Clayton-le-woods.

im driving back home down the m56 at 5pm to Manchester airport though so could be an interesting drive lol

Temp has dropped big time since this morning. Just watching a small clump of showers in the Irish sea, back edge turning sleety now from the radar.

The low level sleet snow line appears to run from Dublin to Lancaster at present and getting closer.

Looking at peoples posts sort of backs up what i said last night, seems to be a bog standard away from the coastal strip wintry event. 

I also remain to be convinced about the forecast trough passing over the region tonight, for here at least, past experience tells me very little if anything will make it here after coming over the hills.

Woodhead and Snake Pass partially closed due to snow, Cat&Fiddle closed completely until tomorrow. Shows how much difference altitude makes.
