...any details on Friday morning's feature from the north/north east?  Although I suspect this will most likely stay east of the Pennines.

Just seen the BBC forecast and it does show an area of snow heading south across the region this evening before clearing overnight but I'd imagine that this could easily stay further to the east and be more of a Yorkshire event so probably a case of wait and see.

in the meantime it looks to have downgraded the showers for today so yet again we will probably end up feeding on the scraps left by others.

IMBY we have just had a brief but heavy snow shower which covered the bathroom velux window but it's melting again now.

A pretty underwhelming forecast there from carol, pretty dry most of the day after a few showers. The snow moving down didn't look much to the west with rain on the coast. Will our 4 year wait continue?

My guess would be yes the wait will continue, the four year wait says it all, i.e. it takes a hell of alot of to bring snow o the west of the region,  this just doesnt feel likely.

I think the best ill get here is a flurry with little to no chance of sticking,   I can see why other people like to see falling slow but it doesnt really interest me if it doesnt settle, for the same reason that I dont really get the point of strip clubs.

Raining here at 200m.

Acc to raintoday temps it aint going to get much colder until tea time so its looking wet rather than white here.By tea time the winds will have veered NW so thats no good for the east.Hopefully those in the sw of the region can get a covering but it all looks very marginal ..

Give me an easterly every time sick of this marginal turd
