Oh I see you add up the 3 hours snowfalls together. :fool::wallbash:

Have you got your checklist ready mate?

Rain radar - check

Wellies - check

Brolly - check

Raincoat - check

Sandbags - check

Set the bar low and we won't be disappointed.

As if!!! :D

I was thinking this Pip. I know I'm in North Staffordshire but I thought I could be in for a chance of being on the northerly border of the precipitation.

And guess what...It's still dry here apart from  a few spots.  There'll be aCrosby only hosepipe ban  soon.

Latest met o update forecast IMBY for tomorrow suggests showers on and off all day - winds W to WSW then NW. Not cold enough for snow early doors but temps suggested to drop mid morning with snow showers from then on for here at least.  For me at least this will be the most accurate forecast to follow over the next 36 hrs or so.

There is quite a difference for tomorrow between the gfs and euro4. Euro 4 only gives us a few scattered showers with most of the precipitation reserved for the southern England.

We could do with the euro 4 to show something more promising in the next run.

78mph at 3:22am in Buxton this morning, so-much for the forecast saying the max was only going to be 52mph. And still gusting well up to 60mph even now.

Just went out to check, the loud crack I heard was one of my fence posts going.  My garden fence is head height wood panelling so I'm concerned, and it looks I might have to face some expense.

GFS having similar windspeeds 3am-9am on Friday morning for the region, more emphasis has been placed on the snowfall it seems by the forecast than the 60-70mph+ gusts we're currently having and expecting to get again in 48hr.

I wish they'd change the BBC forecasters in a cold spell, nothing worse than watching dianne oxberry, Jay wynn, Darren brett skimmimg through the forecast overplaying temps, underplaying snow!
