Its all confusing !!! met office showing me as sleety showers now

How far away from the coast are you? I'm not expecting anything settling here but I do think seeing some snow falling is possible. As per ever, its a case of radar watching and keeping an eye on those temps.

Don't read much into the apps,  just use them as a rough guide at best. I can remember quite a few times when they've predicted rain only for us to get snow, because they overestimate temperatures and do not properly factor in evaporative cooling.

We got those awful lights a couple of years ago, can't see a thing but mind you, there hasn't been much snow to see!  If we get snow I'll have to use the back security light which will mean either going outside to get the light on or letting the cats out:cold:

Ours are led lights. They are awful to spot snow in. I Use the pond lights to see if anything falling !

No ones ever stupid! There is in some parts a downgrade but we can only use the gfs and ecm etc. This shows not so much of downgrade

They're only bothered by the possible

easterly next week, which is really not going to happen.
