Such a difference in attitude up here compared to in London when it snowed.

I got sick of people in London whining and moaning about how their lives were ruined by a cm of snow that lasted all of a day. Using it as an excuse to miss work and not get things done.

These past few days I have not heard a single person complain here. People have embraced the conditions and got on with it. Everyone turned up for work.

So refreshing!

We're made out of tougher stuff here ;)

potentially chilly after tomorrows rain, all depends on if skies clear, if not it could remain at 7°, the high just about hanging on, but we always seem to have a wet Sunday/Monday, so half expecting the Atlantic to break through Sunday 22nd

Today was truly awful. Heavy rain all night and most of the day with mist and murk. Most of the snow in the Peak District was washed away overnight. Such a bad way of ending a cold spell!

This rain just won't stop, high pressure sucks! would rather zonality, at least rain bands move through, maybe even brightness as well,

looking awful, 3 grim, 3 bloody fronts daytime tomorrow, potentially wet charts, it's still there on Sat

Persistent overnight drizzle has eased for now at least, Thick Fog continues with temp havering round 4c.

Has anyone here observed the warm up today forecast by the BBC last night?

Still at 3.9C (after 3.6C overnight) with a little light drizzle.

I just asked because yesterday morning they were forecasting 4C for today. Then last night it was changed to 6-8C. What caused the sudden uplift at such short range!.

I am not knocking the BBC, but I would be interested to know why they changed incorrectly at such a short range!

Have they changed from the MO yet?

Atlantic now returning Thurs 26th, with wet few days coming I fear, seem to be modeling a blocking high to our E/NE, troughs may stall over this region, and dump loads of rain

An example today where it's turned cold from the south! last Fri/Sat it turned milder from the north, tomorrow mild from the south and wet I think

Heaviest hoar frost of the winter at -3.4c not quite the coldest though.

Interesting little cold blob.

Met Office app is showing a heavy snow shower here around 9am. Hmm.

My station is currently reading 0.8"c and a dew point of -4.0"c.
