ECM control run's snowfall accumulation from Sunday/Monday's slider low.

Is it greedy of me to want this and the Cheshire Gap streamer for Stoke? :D

BBC TV forecast. Signs of the Cheshire Gap streamer?

bbc forecasts are completely useless at Cheshire Gap streamers, suppose cos they don't live in Midlands! heard though they're useless with any convective setup, even 3 hours before

Surely makes the fact they’re showing snow showers in that area more promising

Anyway, here is the most optimistic forecast I could find

The forecasts have been altering back and forth every few hours today - it seems Telford must be right on the line between tons-of-snow and two-flakes-and-some-rain...!

I have to keep making myself close the laptop as I find myself refreshing the page in case, y'know, it might have suddenly gone to 100% confidence of 20cm of snow in our specific postcode by Friday lunchtime :D

It sure does   Chris Fawkes also mentioning Troughing appearing bringing showers inland. That and the chesire streamer   we could be looking at significant amounts

Of course, Friday’s snow risk is still uncertain and open to change, never mind the weekend or beyond. However, the GFS threw out a beauty of a slider for a week’s time that is nice to look at and dream about for our region.

Definitely looks to be a risk of slider lows further ahead. Just unlikely that any model will have a handle on it this far ahead.

Kept meaning to post on here the last  couple of weeks.  I couldve preditcted bad weather / snow for next week ages ago...  How you ask  ?  Some of you may recall that when your getting excited by snow , unfortunately i get very Anxious if i have to travel.  And of course next Thursday 14th  is our xmas party which us about 20 miles away.   ? Hopefully it will be back to more normal weather by then

Certainly some good charts for the north Midlands coming up. I'll take this dank muck the start of the week if we are getting a good cold blast. Going to be interesting temperature contrasts from Thursday morning to the afternoon as the front comes in (more akin to Americas cold fronts).

hmm, if UKMO and EC are right, this is over Saturday night/Sunday, GFS is cold/snowy, just hope it dosen't trend towards the EC
