Temps of 1.6'c here

Dew point -1.8'c

But we have no precipitation *facepalm*

The worst of it is that the dew points are falling slightly here as we speak, if we could keep some precipitation going tonight, we'd get a covering. what a crock!

Remember it well, not as much as you but yes a slight covering here.

That's showers for you....5 miles away get a back yard full and you get a solitary

Not that time which was some consolation, nowhere round here got much. Dew point now 2C, so much higher than everywhere else is reporting.

Was nice while it lasted. Reckon any showers tonight and tomorrow may still be wintry. Not sure there will be any accumulation though.

He's in Spain isn't he? Moved there to see some snow....

Oh i didnt know he moved, cant say i blame him if he did though, if of course its climate related, lets face it, ours is becoming utterly depressing.

Warning for snow above 150 meters across Staffordshire tonight into tomorrow.

I'm at 143 meters. Maybe, if I stand on the roof I might see something!

A few pics from my drive down the road to the lickey hills, it's like a different world up there, absolutely freezing with light snow falling and no thaw what so ever

I'd say it's definitely worth the drive, non of it is melting up there and if there's any more well I'd say take a sledge lol

Northwestsnow posted this old chart from 1985 (back when winters were winters). Just struck me how the southerly tracking jet shown has been completely absent this winter, hence repeated euro highs.

Between 2006-13 the jet was a lot more southerly tracking and low and behold we got better winters. Better frontal snow chances and less GIN shortwaves wrecking northerly blocking opportunities.

Its a key ingredient to a cold winter we have to hope returns soon.
