Whilst Sunday does look okay for the Midlands at the moment, i think those of us who have been here for a few years now will know to not get too caught up on Sunday's potential event just yet. The areas that will get snowfall will chop and change many times from now till Sunday, 50 miles north on 1 run, and then 100 miles south on the next. I think we should all get tomorrow out of the way first.

Gfs showing what many of us have alluded to. These shifts one way then another will happen until saturday imo. The 06/18z outputs from the gfs have tended to show things further north than the 12 and 00z outputs. Unless it consistently shows the slider further north then i wouldnt worry just yet.

Meto warning updated, brings more of the Midlands into play, a finger sticking out right through the centre of the W-Midlands.

Shows the streamer a lot more stronger   expect further warnings later i would have thought

If the showers pushing in up North are anything to go by then it could be interesting in the early hours tomorrow.

I would imagine so yes, possibly a more organised band of heavyish ppn (albeit not very wide) as opposed to showers. And it is not unreasonable to think that wherever is caught in the line of this will get quite a dumping, possibly 15-20+ with elevation. But of course, that will be for the lucky few IF it materializes.

Instant Ten-Year-Old - Just Add Snow! :D

(I'm pushing 49 and have been checking the various models multiple times a day all week even though I KNOW they won't have changed in the last half-hour...! :) I've dubbined my boots and got my cosiest woollies ready, and my big wool skirt and my best woolly socks and my mittens and hat, and I've baked til all the tins are full of mince pies and sausage rolls and biscuits and things to eat, pinged hot in the microwave, when I come in from playing in some snow - I'm ready! I'm ready! They can deliver my order any time!)

Big kids - all of us! Never grow up, that's my motto! I hope you get dumped on (by snow, of course)! Sorry for intruding in your thread, but I couldn't resist...

I'm supposed to be travelling to my girlfriends house in Rugby on Friday night. I hope the snow holds off for a bit  i'm travelling on a bloody motorbike so it could be a bit dicey!

I'd love to see snow, but after the past couple of years snow drought here, am not counting any chickens or penguins just yet.

Note which part of the W Midlands isn't in the warning area ....... :cray:

However, I take solace from the fact the the first time in reocrded history the MetO's own not-a-forecast has snow symbols showing for Evesham right through from from 05z to 20z tomorrow - so I might still get a wee flurry or two ......  :yahoo:
