Could be interesting around these parts at 5pm today.  Overnight low of -3.1C in Halesowen, down to -1.3C in Coseley.  Currently 3.1C in Coseley and 3.3C in Halesowen.  Dew points are still very low, -2.9C

Hello! First post for me (long time Netweather lurker though).   Not sure how much precipitation will make it inland today to reach Midlands but definitely keeping watch.  BBC have me down for light snow later so will have to see :pardon:V cold today though for sure. Down to 2c

Think you and those others in the east of the region may fair quite well if snow is what you're after.  Might be something for those in the west, but more so in the East Midlands I think.

got a feeling a lot of snow showers will get a lot further inland today .... the old Cheshire gap is starting to stoke up too

Wrong wind direction for the Cheshire gap to come into play! Need a NNW'ly rather than a NNE'ly.

Certainly the possibility for some wintry showers in the far east of the region though.

A stunning day. Bright blue azure skies and a high of 3c. Frost still around and nice dry air, perfect for walking.

If you cannot get snow, this is the next best thing. Shame it is a one day wonder

Temperature max today at 2.5C with brilliant blue skies.

Overnight low of -0.4C with a moderate breeze all night.

Gone cloudy this late pm and the temperature is falling.

Currently at 1.5C with a dewpoint  of -5.0C.

Showers just to the east now according to the radar. Will they reach here?

I have my doubts - but we are close.

I shall be radar spotting this evening.

Keep you informed.

Had a nice snow shower just now in Notts, big flakes and light covering. Don't think it will last long but nice to see nonetheless, certainly more than we have had in the last 4 winters :yahoo::cold:

Nothing here in Dudley, which surprised me a little, I thought we would at least get a snow shower.  Overnight lows of 0.1C in Coseley and 0.2C in Halesowen, currently 0.3C.

Woke up to an extremely light dusting on pavements and some roofs, and it was snow because you could see the flakes on car roofs too :)

I know it’s metcheck and won’t turn out like this a week ahead but 51.8 cm of snow with 77mph gusts... that would be fun
