Felt pretty Summery yesterday with the warm sunshine (even though convective cloud did tend to build up at times). Quite pleasant!

Today, it seems like Autumn is trying to come back in with cloudy skies. And it's pretty windy, too.

Temperature is around 18*C, so not terribly cool.

I was in Coventry for the day today, lovely morning and early afternoon even, okay the cloud came by 2pm and started raining by 4:30pm nothing Major though(Patchy at times) in all it wasn't a bad day :)

not surprised, Coventry further away from the dreaded NW of this region, only short light showers yesterday, but usual August day with best part 6-8am

This month has been full of cloud but tomorrow is looking alright with plenty of sunshine. It's not been a terrible month otherwise just boring in all honesty nothing to speak of and very few thunderstorms. Next week looks mildly warm with sunshine.

Still only one day with thunder heard here this summer ( and this year). The previous lowest number of days with thunder for the whole of  summer are 1 in 1986 and 2 in 1995. The lowest number of thunder days in a year is 7 in 1978 and 1995.

Thunder in the distance about an hour ago so that's two days with thunder heard this summer/year.

Very little thundery activity in the Midlands, perhaps a few areas which got lucky, but overall most of the activity was to the North, East, and South of us, no surprise there then. :nonono:

Just got back from Tamworth, plenty of rumbles there around lunchtime.
