I noticed something wasn't quite right in Buxton, by 2pm the snow had turned into falling ice, or rather partially melted snow. Horrible stuff!

I can't see it turning to snow here, even if it did it wouldn't settle as it is too wet on all surfaces. The snow would have to be pretty heavy to accumulate.

Light snow here, with a thin cover of fresh snow on top of what was lying from yesterday.

Hopefully that snow on the radar will make it closer.

Not enough snow for drifting but higher up in places it will do on top of frozen patches of snow, now I`m getting desperate.

Temp has actually dropped a touch 0.5c wind still NE,east is much better.

Light snow falling here but it won't settle unless it gains intensity as the ground is too wet.

Currently snowing lightly here.

Temps 2.8'c

Dewpoint exactly 0.0c

We're missing the main chunk or precipitation as per, but it's nice to see

SnowyOwl.....

A good spot..

Interesting - the temperature is remaining steady here at about 2.0C.

We had rain earlier this morning and overnight up to 9:30....

However,  the dewpoint is now dropping quickly. It is now down to -0.6C as opposed to 0.6C earlier on.

As reported above we are now seeing snowflakes floating around again in the central Midlands..

The colder air seems to be pushing back south again.

Was this forecast?

Could it be that the ridge to the north is intensifying again?

We can always hope!

MIA

Yeah just light flakes blowing around, shame really cut if this actually got heavier it wouldn't take a lot to get a covering
