It looks like the band might slide slightly east of West Midlands but hopefully increase shower activity through Cheshire gap as slides past.

It does actually seem to be intensifying in the Irish seas north of Wales.  May be a surprise later

Just had a heavy burst of snow and very strong winds seemingly out of nowhere.

Cleared as abruptly as it began.

Looking at the radar, that next lot pushing south should be here soon.

Fingers and toes crossed! That's a huge area if it translates into snow! :yahoo:

Another dusting added here to our overnight snow so we have a grand total of about 1cm I would say does look stunning though. That PPN looks like missing the midlands and is very marginal.

You referring to that mass of ppn up north looks like it's pivoting east to me and will miss us also looks marginal. But let's hope for the best.

Iv been watching this for 2 hours lol (don't ask) and I can tell you for a fact your in the direct line. Massive flop my the mods.  The mids will get 2 hours of snow out of this or 1.5 minimum. Shouldn't break up too much as it's an area of low pressure.

Iv got a covering of snow at 100ft asl aswel from the Cheshire gap, so no modspicked this up correctly

The intensity looks and a direct hit methinks :)

We all hope your right mate. Met had it way east than this it's quite a big misjudgement from them. You been up all night watching it how's the PPN holding up as it tracks South.

Woke up at 4:30 and thought I'd just check the radar quickly then realised there's loads of showers around me so I looked out and it's all white which is a big shock to he fair as I'm low ground. Then been watching the trough up north and it's intensified not weakened. It's looking really strong. However we will have to see what happens but we all should see somethin out of it
