in Stow on the wold I can confirm it's sleet. Sudden slower thuds occurring hahaha I look like a right maniac though outside my shop on the main road staring into the sky!!!

Snow here now light and wet in nature but it's actual snow.

Sleet here in Bewdley now. It's pretty horrible out, to be honest, but in terms of seeing flakes in the mix this is already as good as the entirety of last "winter"!

Sleety mix here in Grantham, only just getting any kind of intensity. Expecting transition within an hour or two.

Yes been tracking the low dew points, snow should start here (Birmingham) around 3pm.

Largely turned back to rain now, as it's got much lighter. Just the very occasional tiny flake mixed in with all the wetness. Hopefully those with a bit more altitude* will get be having more luck.

* A bit more, meaning 150-200m asl. I know those at 300m plus are already doing so, but that's a darn sight easier! :p

Looking at the radar i would guess another hour of snow before the system clears away south of the West Mids. Looks good for the south east later on.   Happy to see some snow flakes and it could get interesting tonight with the Cheshire Gap streamer.

Light snow, temp continues to fall.

Temp 0.9C

Rate: -2.2C/hr

Dew: 0.3C

Although i don't expect any accumulation this evening, it will be interesting to see what tonight overnight brings as temperatures are now a lot closer to where they would need to be for snow.
