situation is becaming heavy with last snowfall in central Italy.. blackout of energy , meters of snow.. and more shakes this afternoon.. many villages isolated and with no power since 48 hours...

The Army is now join the rescue try to clean street, my region and others region of the north are sending local snowremoval truck for help.. Some area are close to 3 meters of snow in the ground.. forecast are for more snow in next days..

Hi,

If we talking about heavy snow episode...

well not so much waiting, because in Italy snow is "at home " , usually we can say that most of the location have a cycle of 20 years for big event.. but every years usuallly there is a big event 

as i know  for example we have :

actually 17 gen. 2017 Abruzzo

 

6 gen 2017 Molise e Puglia

 

March 2015 Molise , with the world record for 24h snowfall of 256 cm in Capracotta

2014 Alps area...

 

2012 novafeltria, emilia romagna, San marino , Urbino

 

well , it's just an example.. more you go back in the time  more episode you can found.. like the best recorded gen. 1985 where  snow join 80% of the country in one shot.. here around

I think it is good news that so many have been found alive in the hotel, (would have been better of course if the avalanche didn't happen of course)
