Very interesting to see your weather reports and the difference you see from low down on the mountain to higher up. I have never skied in Italy, but go every year to Wengen, but have visited various places in Italy, loving Tuscany and the Dolomites along wiith famous towns/cities. My Italian is non existent so I think you are doing very well with your English.

Thanks, yes Stewfox, , i live at 500 meters, main city is 400 meters altitude 2 minutes car far away, going up in 10 km you will arrive by car at 1200 meters, in a 15-20 minutes from city center you cab drive till 1500 meters altitude.

I took a ride the October 13 for catch the first snow of the new season at 1488 meters

Was a busy weekend for a epic Bachelor Party in Bologna..., all time less raining day.

Actually back home, +5,8 clear sky... but humid. 

Still be snowing in most of central-east Alps, main target Stelvio Pass 2750 meters closed for cars transit, over 50 cm fresh snow

Today worse weather in central Italy with rains..

Especially Roma gets many thunderstorms and in the limit of the capital there was a tornado that causes 2 victims and some damages.

Hello,

clear sky today, sunny. First 0°C in the plains in my area today. In the next days the lowest will be negative and brings some frost in the country..

 

In the north east of Italy Alps got some snow too.. , here a nice webcam from Dolomiti

 

Here in the West , definitively  closed the Piccolo San Bernardo Pass between Italy-France.., no more cars.. just ski now ( La Thuile )

Focus on Roma's Tornado :

Meteorologists are now trying to give a classification at this tornado, according with the damages, wind speed etc..., it will probably pass to history like a EF3

here some pics and  for your own opinion

 

here is a short video too... 99% of Italian dont know how danger a Tornado could be ( Tornado are very very unusual, but possible here in some areas of the country ), becouse of that you can appreciate this incautious phone movie..

I've only just come across the reports of the Ladispoli tornado this minute, looks to be a low-end F3, but this is exceptionally strong for the time of year. Surprised that none of the news-outlets in the UK have picked up on it yet given the recent Earthquakes around the same area in the past week.

forecast give us sunny days for few days.., but in the Alps, on state borderline sector,  we will have more snow, especially in the area of Monte Bianco ( white mountain ) , Val Formazza- Monte Rosa (pink mountain )

but in the French side ( la Rosiere ) of the international sky resort something is getting ready

 - 0,6 this morning, +11,4 at noon

actually + 6,9 °C clear sunny sunset,

Alps' Wall is working good against perturbation... a lot of cloudy in the others sides as a sat view show..,

 just snowing on the NW borderline of the state, La Thuile, Cervinia, some in Val Formazza , Courmayeur in the pics below

No opportunity of interesting alpine's break-through this time, anyway great clear sunset all central east alps..

wake up with a  alpine's break-through today..

Cloudy sky, little rain and +4,6 here.

Snowing a little over 800 meters.. -1 at 1200 meters altitude

Now the weather come back to standard situation with Alps wall blocking most of the clouds in the other side.

 Central Italy is just hit by few organised thunderstorms, some of them over the earthquake's area. The other target were Tuscany hill and north Lazio

Just a little focus over Venezia, coincidence with moon power and over sea winds, today high tide is give a suggestive day for tourists there. Especially in San Marco square, that it is one of the lowest area of Venice. It's always funny.. anyway it is just the regular tide now.., nothing special high.
