My lowest minimum since 24 May this year with 5.3 C, started dry and bright with patchy cloud, now foggy but with the sun coming through.

A dry night with long clear periods. Fog developed in the valleys shortly before dawn but never extended above about 250 m. Sunny periods to start this morning but it's now clouding over from the south west.

Sunny intervals early this morning but it was completely cloudy by 0900 g.m.t and remained cloudy, cool and dry for most of  the rest of the day, bar one or two spots of light rain around 1500 g.m.t. Distant thunder was heard to the south and south during mid afternoon.At 1700 g.m.t there was a moderate shower as the rain over Lincolnshire and Notts began to move south east.
