Looking at the radar is the eyewall becoming larger and a tad fragemented? Anybody got current wind speeds in the mid coast area between Daytona & Cape Canaveral?

Sea now looking very rough @ St Augustine and a little less so at Jacksonville Beach.

erm....not sure why you're posting those tweets here Gavin, whilst NW is global now, I'm not convinced the indigenous population of Jacksonville and the state of Georgia will be scouring this particular thread for updates

Don't see the issue with it personally, don't understand why you felt you had to post that

just some banter, hence the winky emoji....what's the problem?.......IMO it was irrelevant in the bigger scheme of things, jokingly referring to the fact that SS's cut and paste of said tweet would be of litte relevance to those who follow this thread regularly....The tweet represented a "No sh** sherlock" moment for me

The Carolinas are bearing the brunt now, especially areas NE of Savannah.

Have a friend in myrtle beach on holiday at the moment. I'll share some pictures soon from him if I can. Looks to have some good footage!

He is one of very few currently there and under a curfew still I believe.

A post event report from a friend who lives in Orlando..."We survived just fine here, with only many branches and debris strewn around".

I'm assuming from the lack of any real coverage on the TV, news websites etc that the USA survived pretty much unscathed since the worst of the storm stayed mainly offshore?

Focus now switches to Nicole and a possible hit on Bermuda?
