A side swipe from a developing storm produced a spell of windy weather and brief spell of rain. The wind strength was quite impressive considering at the time the gust front moved over us there wasn't any electrical activity on that part of system. Temperatures dropping rapidly now so should be a p[leasant night to sleep in and another large variation of temperatures during the day.

Temp now 17.9C Rainfall 0.4mm Max gust 36 mph.

A hot and sunny morning and early afternoon with a new September record maximum of 25.9c recorded. High and medium level cloud increased from the south and south west from 1330 g.m.t and the wind veered W and increased to f4-5 for an hour or so. The wind then decreased and there were further sunny intervals before a further increase in cloud late this afternoon and early this evening. It turned almost as dark as night by 1730 g.m.t and the wind increased to f6 W but just a few spots of rain fell and there was 1 flash of lightning and a muffled rumble of thunder before it all cleared away to the north.

At 1800 g.m.t

Temp; 17.9c

Max today; 25.9c

Min last night; 15.7c
